About the Role
UPshow is looking to add a Marketing Specialist to our growing team in Chicago to drive trade show strategy and to support our digital marketing team. As a member of the marketing team at UPshow, you’ll have your hands in a little bit of everything - the strategy and execution of events and trade shows, digital growth strategies, and developing marketing assets. This position reports directly to the CMO. The Marketing Specialist will ensure on-time completion and success of digital campaigns and best-in-class events. We are looking for a go-getter, a problem solver, and someone with passion and drive for what we do!

Drive trade show strategy by working closely with the marketing team to establish trade show objectives, budget and schedule
Prospecting future shows to attend
Plan the scope of the event (e.g., time, location, program, cost) for UPshow’s team
Work with the event host to ensure that required services (e.g., setup, breakdown) are provided or planned for
Remotely manage events on the day-of, including problem-solving, directing event set-up, communicating with on-site team, and planning for take-down
Support digital marketing team with defining and implementing digital growth strategies
Continuously monitor paid media performance and report performance shifts
Implement daily optimizations across paid platforms including LinkedIn and AdWords
Complete digital projects for the marketing department
Collaborate cross-functionally with Content and Creative teams in developing marketing assets
Strong communicator and collaborator cross-functionally
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple workstreams
Proactive problem solver
Passionate and devoted to learning, with a strong desire to become an expert in digital marketing and media
Proficient using Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite in general
